Why Every Veterans Day Effort Matters

There are many different kinds of Veterans out there. Some you'd never guess served, and some you might think are still in based on their commitment to military time and radio jargon. 

Most Veterans though, fall somewhere in the middle. We go through our lives after service indistinguishable from non-veterans. We carry experiences in our past that we may think about everyday, but is little or completely unknown to our coworkers, neighbors, friends and even our family.

So every year around Veterans Day, every effort in our communities, workplaces and homes really does go a long way towards letting the Veterans in our lives know their service is remembered and appreciated even though it might not get talked about much the rest of the year.

Whether it's getting your Veteran out to a celebration event in town or school assembly, wearing a patriotic shirt out in public, or taking the time to call or text a message to the Veterans in your life, a small effort can make a bigger impact than you may realize. Thanks for loving the Veterans in your life. Your support does make a difference.
