How does my purchase help Veterans?

When you start your day with Freedom Hill Coffee, you’re supporting a Veteran owned business and helping employ Veterans in a supportive environment.  We provide accommodations for whatever physical and mental disabilities or challenges our team may be managing due to their military service.  We’re able to offer careers our team can be proud of when they may have struggled to find meaningful employment otherwise.  When you support us, you’re truly making a difference in the lives of Veterans who have sacrificed for us all.

Every order you place also helps us make financial donations to some great organizations serving our Veterans in crisis, working to end Veteran suicide and helping our heroes find the peace and purpose they deserve after service.  To learn more about the folks you’re supporting, check out our Partners in Service section on our homepage.

Is Freedom Hill Coffee Roasters a charity?

Freedom Hill Coffee Roasters LLC is a Veteran owned for-profit business.  We employ Veterans and donate a portion of all sales to some great organizations serving our Veterans in crisis, working to end Veteran suicide and helping our heroes find the peace and purpose they deserve after service.  To learn more about the folks you’re supporting, check out our Partners in Service section on our homepage.

What makes your coffee so good?

We’re glad you noticed!  We source only specialty-grade coffee beans and roast them every weekday with care. Our coffee is extremely fresh when it makes it to your door, and the difference is hard to miss.  When you sign up for a coffee subscription you’re able to drink the freshest possible, premium quality coffee, for less than grocery store prices.

What type of Single Origins can I expect?

With our rotating single origins, we want to explore the latest and greatest in the coffee market, micro-lots that are hard to find or known for being an especially good harvest.  We profile roast to see what makes that selection its best, sometimes lighter, sometimes darker.  If you're interested in trying coffees from all over the world’s coffee growing regions, seeing the extremes of what coffee can be and experiencing unique tasting notes, this is a great choice for you. We rotate to a new selection about once a month.

Do you sell coffee pods for my Keurig® machine?

Sure do! We sell single serve coffee pods in Breakfast Blend and Dark Roast in boxes of 12. They are compatible with all K-Cup brewers, including the new Keurig 2.0 system. You can find them here.

Are your coffee pods recyclable?

Yes, both the lid and cup are recyclable. Peel off and discard the foil lid, compost or discard the grounds and you can recycle both the lid and cup (#5). It’s always good to double check with your local recycling program to make sure they accept #5 plastics.

How should I store my coffee?

Once opened, you should store your coffee in an airtight container at room temperature, and away from light and moisture. This will ensure whole beans to stay fresh for up to 2-3 months, and ground coffee for up to 1 month.  For long term storage coffee may be stored in a freezer, but you should avoid taking it in and out of a freezer too frequently as condensation is harmful to coffee quality.

How does the Freedom Hill Coffee Club work? Do I get any discount?

You can save over 30%, lower than grocery store prices!  Coffee subscriptions are the foundation of our mission, they allow us to set realistic short and long term goals for supporting our Veterans in finding peace and purpose after service. You select your coffee types, quantity, and delivery schedule. We ship it to your door for FREE, all while saving up to 30% off the full price in our online store. You can change it up, skip a shipment or cancel at any time.

I like variety. Can I mix and match my coffee roasts?

Hey, we like switching up our brews too! Subscriptions are not a new thing, but we take pride in making ours as flexible as possible for our customers, and that includes allowing you to choose a variety of roasts for your subscription. Plus, you can change it up any time to suit your changing tastes.
